Controversy about the film:
The controversy is actually that in a dialogue of the film, Godest Sita ji has been described as 'Bharat Desh ki Beti' but according to Hindu belief, she was born in Janakpuri, which is located in Nepal today. Balen Shah, a politician from Nepal, objected to this dialogue after which the filmmakers either removed or modified the dialogue. Balen Shah had said in his post on Facebook that this thing is considered untrue not only in Nepal but also in India and this film will not be allowed in Nepal.
The reason for the second biggest controversy of the film is the war time depicted in the film. The film has been inspired by the epic Ramayana of sage Valmiki. Indian ancient war strategy says that no war is fought after sunset, even if someone has put a sword on the enemy's throat. But in this film, the entire battle of Ramayana is fought in the dark of night, which is only imaginary and contrary to reality.
If you look at another reason for the controversy of the film, it is that the dialogue in the film is less and indecency is more and the people who came out of the theater after watching the film also say that the filmmakers have insulted Hindu religion and gods.
In a scene of the film, Ravana is shown breaking the Rudraksh rosary but the reality is that Ravana was an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva and his ardent devotee would never disrespect Rudraksh.
In another scene of the film, Prabhas, who plays Lord Ram, is shown exactly as Jesus Christ. Associating Hindu deities with any other such religion is another major reason for the controversy of this film.
